Welcome to Our Practice

At Children's Eye Center of South Texas, PA., (CEC) we are committed to providing a safe environment for patients, parents, and employees. Our community is important to us and safety is a concern for us all. CEC will continue to require masks for parents and patients 10 and up. We also recommend patients younger wear them if they can tolerate it.

We have hand sanitizer and sinks available for handwashing while at our clinic.

We ask you to contact us to reschedule appointments if you or your child have been sick with a cough, fever, other respiratory illnesses. This also includes current contact with known positive COVID individuals whether symptomatic or asymptomatic.

As always, we request that only essential parents or guardians attend appointments with their child. If you can obtain childcare for siblings, please do so to help limit attendance and gathering in the waiting room.

Please be respectful of others during this period who may be in the clinic and their concerns for safety.

During dilation, we request that you leave the building and wait for us to call you to come back. There are several restaurants and shopping centers close by or you can wait in your car. Typically, we will call you back in about an hour, however, this time may be longer. Do not worry, the dilation will last long enough to get through the exam. Patients who are transported via EMS or other means, may wait in the waiting room during this period.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 210-340-6633. We appreciate the trust you have placed in us and maintain our commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction. We continue to monitor the situation and will keep you apprised of additional changes in our policies. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
